Earlier this summer, a low profile couple held a beautiful yet intimate wedding ceremony and celebration for their close friends and family at the majestic Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong. The white theme worked especially well against the colourful backdrop of Hong Kong’s iconic skyline for this sunset celebration.
Different shades of white flowers and pillar candles in glass containers adorned the aisle
A white ‘desserts’ table along with a ‘fine wine’ bar in the Foyer.Guests sat down to tables adorned with hundreds of flowers and candles and enjoyed a beautiful banquet at the ballroom of the Peninsula Hotel.
Just before the summer, we put together an elegant evening in Hong Kong for a gorgeous couple to celebrate their recent nuptials in Bali. Caroline, our in-house creative genius spent long hours planning and styling long tables in shades of ivory and pale gold decorated with tall arrangements of white phalaenopsis orchids surrounded by pillar candles and low arrangements. Little touches such as die-cut placecards with calligraphed guest names and pop-up place mats added a warm touch. This is what we do best!
Of course, it helps when you have lovely clients and a beautiful ballroom such as the one at the Aberdeen Marina Club to work with. Here are some images from the talented Alison Mayfield.
Our favourite touch of the evening? The popular “Candy Bar” where guests, young and old, indulged themselves and took home bags of their favourite childhood sweets. Yum!
Going through our archives of photographs and came across this charming wedding we organized back in 2007 – (wow, time flies!) This family were a real pleasure to work with. They were incredibly warm and just wanted a beautiful wedding that was true to the bride who didn’t want a fuss.
All locally grown flowers were used
Following the ceremony at St. Stephen’s Church in Stanley, guests boarded several boats at a nearby pier and sailed to the wedding reception at Middle Island where festive music and cool drinks awaited them.
Potted orchids and other green plants did double duty as table centerpieces and later on, as wedding favours for guests to take home
After a relaxed barbecue, great speeches and lots of dancing, sampans were lined up to ferry the guests back to shore after the party ended.
Just goes to show, the magic ingredient in every wedding is…love!
